My friend feels that her daughter is at the moment uncapable of taking care of her daughter she doesn't want soul custody but she wants to be able to keep her granddaughter until her daughter striaghtens up, with her still having legal rights to her child, but daughter feels different. What can she do?

What can she do?

even if her daughter is proven unfit, the child's father has greater rights to the child then grandma does. she can ask her daughter to sign temp custody or guardianship over to her( both require the father's permission)
