What are my rights?

Family farm:232 acres of land.3 children live on it.Us included.Dad gave permission to live here if we pay 1/3 of taxes each year. Have done so for 15 years.During which we have no rights/permission/freedom to use any of the land except small exceptions of our fenced yard.Want to remodel house but receive no permission. We own our house.Dad's will only gives us our fenced in yard but have been paying taxes on 1/3 of the entire property. Do we have any rights to any of the other land now or after father passes away?? ( we offered to buy some of the land but dad refuses to sell to us)Father is still livingThanks dismayed

Time for a partition suit. The court will sell the land on the courthouse steps and you (and anybody else) can bid on it.

Are any of these agreements in writing? If not, you may still have some standing since you have been abiding by the agreements for a while.

Anyway, hire a lawyer.
