Can a grandparent remove a 14 year old grandchild from the child's home-take him to another city and call the parent to tell her he will be enrolling his grandchild in school in his home town? The parent was not aware that her father was even picking the child up? What action can the parent take? The child is well cared for by his parents.

The parents did get police involvement to return him to his home. I suggested a restraining order on the grandfather. Would this give them grounds for legal action if he should do this again?
