Is there such a thing as a verbal contract? My brothers as co-trustee's of my fathers estate..made a verbal contract with my sister and I, they were not going to take trustee's fee's...we didn't find out that they did till we received our first distribution. Their only coment was ..we changed our minds...is this legal..correct?
Thank you

There is such a thing as verbal contracts and they are enforceable however if any of the parties want to change their minds, they need to notify those involved in the contract. Tell your brother that he needs to refund you the fee for the service he provided since this was not part of the contract. If no compromise, then consider taking him to small claims court to recover the unauthorized fee deduction. Good Luck!
