I am getting married in March of 09, I have signed with a venue, at my first meeting my coordinator for the facility, mentioned vendor fees but stated that they would waive them.
This person is no longer with the facility and the new person in charge wants to charge me $250. per vendor that I use that is not on their preferred vendors list. There is no mention of these fees in any of the contracts that I have signed. It does state that if I do choose a vendor other than someone on their list they are subject to approval, (Liability insurance. etc.)
My vendor selection has worked at this facility before and also has the required insurance. The facility has approved them however they want to charge me $250.
to use my choice of vendor. What rights do I have and what legally can they do? It's not written in any of the contracts that there are fees of any kind for this instance.
