I have filed for divorce from my wife of 19 years . One reason for the divorce is her lack of desire to help support the family financially. She has gone so far as using thousands of dollars of my three children's savings. Almost all of their money has been gifted to them from my parents over the past 8 or 9 years. At one point she quit a good job and immediately went to the bank and withdrew 12,000 dollars to payoff an auto loan from my daughter's account. Unfortunately I allowed her to put herself as guardian on their accounts when they were opened.
Do the children have any recourse to get their money back? My oldest son turns 18 in a couple of months and plans to immediately get his money from her grasp.
