I have a question regarding putting a trademark on a name and the use of this unique name that I gave to someone in 1992. This person has gone on to use this name in business to become very successful through my friendship/relationship with no attribution to me personally. It can also be proven that the name did not exist before meeting me. I am interested in this person no longer using this "nick" name professionally.

    Thoughts or advice?

This is a US board and laws vary from country to country. US law is not going to be any use to you in your unnamed country.

Please note that I can see where you are posting from, and it is not Africa.

If this is happening in the US, you have ZERO rights to the nickname.
