Trademark Use of a "nick" name

I have a question regarding putting a trademark on a name and the use of this unique name that I gave to someone in 1992. This person has gone on to use this name in business to become very successful through my friendship/relationship with no attribution to me personally. It can also be proven that the name did not exist before meeting me. I am interested in this person no longer using this "nick" name professionally.
