My former employer said that I was terminated due to abusing my manager privileges. The full story is as follows. The computer system at work would reset at 4am. Many times I wouldn't be able to leave work until 5 or 6am. When that would happen, the next day upon clocking in, I would adjust my clock in time 1-2 hours to reflect the hours I worked the night before without being on the clock. When the owners found out I was fired without warning, write up or good explanation. They initially denied my unemployment claim, however have since dropped their contesting stance and won't attend the hearing. Hopefully this will be a good factor in determining my outcome with EDD. My appeals hearing is tomorrow so any help would be appreciated.

If your employer fails to attend the hearing, you probably won't have to say very much.

But, if you do open your mouth, I'd rethink the story you related above.

One more thing, less is more.

Most of the time three answers are all you need: yes, no, I don't recall.
