I was injured by a slip and fall accident in February 2012, due to the obvious and admitted neglect of the maintenance of a public bathroom at a gas station/market. I had thought that I had fully recovered from my injuries, and then eight months later I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis of my knee. I am presently seeking legal help before the time expires for me to make a claim. I am wondering if I have two years after the date of my fall, or would I have two years after the date that the severity of my injuries was discovered?

This can lead to a wobbler in yoru state.

You're still within the first option (2 years from the date of the incident), so work diligently to retain counsel.

Assume you have ONLY two years from the date of the event.
