I am about to enter into a tax intercept Child support hearing. I owe 7500.00 back support . The whole amount owed is the "rear end " which is before I was told and or named as father. I signed a voluntary support order. I have a agreement on my current one which is added a additional amount to my support to cover the back charge. I have never had a intercept in place in 5 years of paying support. I have never missed a payment and i asked for a hearing to keep my tax money. My wife and I have had our second child and did not ask for a hearing to lower support to keep the maount paying correctly .I sent back a counter offer for them to take my state tax check( normally 900.00) and add another 100.00 amonth to the rear endand leave me my federal to catch up bills whichis used to catch up back dated bills caused by money lost to support until full amount is paid . i have two small kids at home. wife doesn't work and i am curious do i even have a chance at winning my hearing >

We can't predict your chances. Your choice to have more kids implies an ability to support them in addition to your existing support obligation. An adjustment of withholding will eliminate this issue moving forward.
