I taped a telephone conference call and shared it with other employees. One person complained to their supervisor that a threat was voiced about them. The conference call was common knowledge about a work situation. Now I'm meeting with the VP tomorrow thinking I'm going to lose my job. Besides being stupid, do I have any legal ground to stand on?

I'm not sure I understand. Regarding taping, in many states so long as one party (you) to a call consented, the taping is permitted. Why you shared it with other workers is beyond my knowledge. I don't know what you are asking.
