I am in the military, back in 1995 I had a DUI in California. I attended DUI school, completed my community service, and paid all fines.
I thought it was all over, until last week...
I have a Utah driver's license and went to get it renewed (I had renewed it by mail since 1994) UT says CA has a "hold" on my license and they (UT) can not issue a new license until I "clear up" with CA DMV.
I called CA DMV and they say they have no records of me completing the DUI school, and since I have orders back to CA I have to re-do the school all over again.
I've tried finding any paperwork from the original incident, but I've had no luck, County Clerk does not have any information about the school (only that I signed up to go), the school no longer exists.
Is there ANYTHING else I can do, before spending $600 and 3 months worth of classes again???
