My employeer has just informed me that they are switching to an online pay stub. If I still want a paper stub I would be required to switch to a live check instead of direct deposit. Is there any legal way I can still get issued a paper pay stub with direct deposit? (One that was given to me from my employer not one that I made a copy of.)
If it matters, I work in a subburb of Dallas, Texas.

In Texas, as long as your employer is providing you with an electronic pay stub that's all he's required to do. You cannot force him to give you a paper stub, with or without direct deposit.

What's stopping you from printing out the electronic stub if it's that important?

Thanks for the response. I appreciate the information.
As to why, if I'm provided with an official stub, that is a record of the actual transaction. If I print an online copy that is not. It's my copy. I want to retain that official stub in case anything ever goes wrong.

Of course a copy that you print is an official record of the transaction. Why on earth would you think otherwise?
