What can I do about a neighbor who is harassing me and claiming that I stole his mail and packages and I did neither. He is friends with his ex next door neighbor who claims they saw me take his mail and package and then drive back into my driveway when my car is absolutely undrivable because it has a blown head gasket. He then told me that I was a liar and that the neighbors had a picture of my car in the driveway which my car is always in the driveway . I am so frustrated and angry over the lies and defamation that is going on . I'm not the only person that has a black jeep in our neighborhood there are three other people who do . He then sent the police to my house who knocked on the door and because I've had three Strokes it's hard for me to get anywhere very fast so the police decided not to wait for me to answer the door but instead infringe on my personal rights and walk down to our garage behind of our house without a warrant or permission. When they came up the hill I was at my car getting my shoes on and I felt like they personally attacked me verbally and I have terrible and PTSD after all the riots here in Richmond. I have had three Strokes so I have a processing disorder so it takes me longer to hear and understand what other people are saying and they were twisting my words all around and I did not appreciate that. I told them that they were twisting my words around as well and that what they were saying was not true. They then said that they were going to do some more investigating whatever that means and that if I had a change of heart to give them a call . So basically they're claiming that I committed a crime I did not do . I felt like I was a cornered victim again . Considering my ex-husband abused me and I am a victim of domestic violence . It was two officers and it took me 5 minutes to get from upstairs to downstairs because of my difficulties walking. I looked Out My Backdoor which we have a clear screen door and my father has a mechanic's garage behind of our house separate and they went inside of his garage without a warrant or permission. I did not say anything about that to them. Even though they infringe on my Fourth Amendment right. The the neighbor who is complaining is a evil person to start with because my parents sold him the house that he lived in which is three houses down from where we live. So when the police asked me were you there on that a particular day I said no I was not. Stupidly I made references which I shouldn't have to the guy taking my packages and previous years and my mother's package last year. Only one of which he returned and which was my medical cane that he totally open to the Box destroyed and then had the nerve to message me and ask if he left a book inside of it. Yet being a nice person that I am I don't like going around pressing charges against people. I just tend to forgive people and you're right I should not forget and from now on I'm not. You are absolutely right about that because usually with people like him that are nasty and toxic I usually will block and delete from any social media accounts that I'm still on which are very few. I really don't know where having a picture of my car immediately in the driveway after the incident is a kind of proof of anything except my car in a driveway. They were fishing that was about all they were doing. But after I told him that the guy had my packages before that's when the butthole twisted my words around and said I thought you said you had never been there? I said no sir you are twisting my words I said my parents used to own that house and I was there when they renovated it but that was the last time and that was three years ago. I said don't put words in my mouth that were not there. At that point he handed me his card and that's when he said if you have a change of heart give me a call. I took his card and burned it after making a copy. I'm so sick of these police always harassing people and I'm a domestic violence victim on top of that and in a program with the county. I can't tell you what I wore yesterday let alone what I did a week ago. I'm not incompetent but after three Strokes and was early Alzheimer's I'll still know when I drive my car in when I don't. I have noticed over the past year and have made a long list of things that were taken out of my vehicle like a couple of dollars here and there and some CDs and one time it look like somebody even drove it because the mileage was off. This is when I stop leaving my keys in my car and locking it up. After that I didn't have any more issues until it looks like somebody cut some lines that go under my car from what the man at Firestone told me. He said they were deliberate and look like they were from a knife or razor he didn't tell but they were too evenly cut to be a squirrel chewing because we live in the woods and our neighborhood has had literally 0 crime in the past 10 years. I want to so badly go down and take out a warrant for his arrest for the packages that he admitted to taking and one he claimed was a covid-19 and he couldn't bring back which is not true because the company said he never called and I document everything. Besides any of this why would I want somebody else's mail? I get a complete mailbox full of mail every day. I get over 20 magazines on a weekly basis and I don't even know where they came from and I don't want them and I end up donating them just like my clothing and everything else I donated to shelters not to these boxes that people use for the Goodwill because I feel the shelter's need it more. I've had this problem with my car on and off for the last year and I don't want to blow the engine completely by driving it. I can't afford another car right now blood alone somebody defaming my character and my rights being violated. I really want to call and speak to the chief of police over them going into the garage where they had no business going into. I watched as they walk down another part of our driveway that is separate that goes down to my father's garage where he keeps his personal cars and tools and things. Nobody in our house does anything illegal in fact quite the opposite. All of my neighbors basically hate me because they are nothing but low lives. The county won't do anything to help either. I've called on probably everybody down the street for their illegal activity so I don't know which one it is that has it out for me it could be any of them as far as I know. Our neighbor kills bald eagles her fun alive plucking Feather by feather out laughing. No regard for life itself and then the other neighbor has a child that I had to report to CPS that he does not watch who is 3 years old and fell into a fire pit only five feet away from his house which is against the law because it has to be 10 feet or more and you have to get a permit in our County. He wasn't barbecuing he was burning trash and household items such as paper and garbage. For 20 minutes he had left this fire that is in a half barrel kind of contraption not even the grill just a homemade something completely unattended with a three year old outside by herself and the fire Barrel was flaming really tall and was only one foot behind the gas tank of a vehicle parked on a patio in his backyard not a place for a vehicle to be parked at all. Or we have neighbor number 3 who throws trash everywhere in the street including dirty baby diapers and not only me but one other person visibly caught them doing this on camera. So it's like take your pick of which person that's done something illegal in our neighborhood does not like me. I had to take one person who is still there to court because their dogs killed over five other dogs in about 10 cats in the neighborhood and I was not the only person to call either. About 20 different complaints and 20 different people called in about these animals. So to me it's a pick and choose who wants to take revenge on me kind of feeling. I have tried to be nice to this evil person I even when he messaged me gave him a simple no reply and I have documented every time he has replied back nastily. I've heard of people taking packages before but never mail. What would you gain out of getting somebody's mail? That part I just can't get. If the person was going to get a check or whatever you can't cash that. I don't want anything this tax that guy has let alone I hate even looking at the house itself. Come to find out my dad called the mortgage Linder just to be nosey and they said he had never made a payment on the house since day one so the bank had to repossess it. I really believe that too because this guy is something else. He is a millennial that feels like he is entitled to everything and yet falsely accuses somebody else not on not on his own but by getting a neighbor to do it. That's how a twisted and entitled he is. I mean for God's sakes to take somebody's medical cane and it had my name on the box and like I said my parents sold him the house so he knew where we lived if we were not hiding anything. But did not return it knowing that somebody does not get a medical cane just for no reason and it look like he used it at that which is why the company sent me a new one. I still have the old one but it's all been up and rusted and whatever Stoppers that are on the bottom or not included with it when he gave it back so it's all tore up and bent and it's a deliberate bent but I don't want to look like I'm retaliating until after all this is over and then I think I might file charges against him for the mail fraud. I don't want it to seem like I'm doing something out of spite which is from everything I've read did it would look like. At least until all of these accusations are put to rest then I'll go take out a warrant for his arrest. And then he will have to also compensate me for defamation. I have no reason to lie I'm too damn old and I hurt too bad and barely leave my house to start with. If I do it's only for necessities and that's it. Like I said we have five cars in our family so I drive my dad's which is a car something totally different totally different color everything. Whatever this person is saying is hearsay anyway and a picture of an empty car in a driveway means nothing. If they really had any concrete evidence I would have been arrested. But like I said I think they're just fishing for information at this point but I am not going to admit to something I didn't do. Thank you for the advice. Any advice on what to do about then breaking my Fourth Amendment right and going into and opening up the door to get into my father's garage without probable cause or a search warrant?

I forgot to mention that they don't live there anymore they sold the house and the house has been vacant because they never paid a mortgage payment so they lost the house to the bank apparently. But I had no clue until a week ago when my dad said they were selling the house and asked me to look online to see how much they were selling it for since he sold it to them in the first place. He said that the realtor told him they had to spend almost $50,000 to clean up after these people that there were dirty baby diapers stacked 3 feet high and a room and the carpets that we put in had to be removed because they were so full of dog doo doo and dog pee that it was outrageous. They did no upgrades to the house as my parents remodeled that entire house before they moved in. And you're absolutely right I'm not going to talk to them anymore and the fact that they parked down the street made no sense to me. I've never done anything illegal and if they had any questions they should have just came down our driveway like normal officers have before when I had made reports against people. To me it all seems very fishy. This is are good old County of "Arrestifield" Chesterfield Virginia. We have so many homicides unsolved yet they would rather stop you ever doing 1 mile an hour over the speed limit. I'm not joking my one and only first ticket that I got when I was 21 was doing 36 in a 35 mile per an hour Zone. We went to court for that the judge threw it out and said you must not have nothing else better to do officer because this is a waste of my time her time the County's time and the officer ended up getting fined for bringing such a ridiculous case to court. But this but I am 44 years old and I've had chronic bronchitis the past three months that has kept me in the bed debilitated no I was tested. Besides my two different medications that I get from the pharmacy that are glass I get everything delivered to my house. I have small vessel disease and early Alzheimer's and narcolepsy which is not even controlled enough until recently to drive. Because I give a crap about other people's lives besides my own when I'm driving. Never been an accident in my entire life that was not somebody else's fault. I've had two people to hit and runs on me. Yet I still look on the positive side every day no matter what comes my way and now this guy is messing my mojo up but I'm not letting it because I know I'm innocent and it's their burden of proof to prove anyting. Which would be actual documentation of me having any of this person's stuff which I don't. Otherwise witness statements are hearsay as I spoke with an attorney about it. They said even the picture is hearsay and not admissible in court especially after my 4th amendment rights were violated. I think I might have to go down to the police station and get every report that I've made against people here in the neighborhood just to prove myself if I have to. I go out and I clean up trash despite my disabilities. I will go and take everything that people leave outside of those donation boxes and stick it right back in the boxes themselves instead of leaving it outside for everybody to go through and it for it to get rained on. Because people have gotten very lazy. I even was nice enough 2 weeks ago where my car was having serious issues and fumes were going everywhere to park it wait for it to stop and then put some more antifreeze and water half and half in it. During that time I had noticed that directly in front of me about 10 ft from the road was a bag of trash that had been there for over a month. I have gloves in my car so I walk down there pics of the bag of trash and shoved it into the trash can at the gas station just to be a nice person. Evil shall not win over me. I don't make any excuses for anything I do. I know I'm not a saint nobody else but I try my best every day considering the fact that after my stroke last year left me debilitated on my left side so I wake up every morning grateful just to even be alive.

I have a package 2 days ago delivered to my house that was a neighbor 2 houses down the other side of my house and I had never met this person. But they've only lived there a year and they must work a lot but I took the package up to his porch and laid it there and rang the doorbell and his wife answer the door and I told her that UPS delivered this package to our house. I don't see what people would even want when it comes to stealing somebody else's mail or packages. Especially the male what do they think they can do with it honestly? You can't cash somebody else's check. Things can always be traced back to you like that because I used to date a guy and he was a correctional officer and he would tell me all kinds of things people did and I still never understand why somebody would take somebody else's mail. I still don't understand this other guy unless he's just totally agitated that he lost his house and the other neighbors are agitated that I reported them for doing illegal activities. But it doesn't mean they can take my name and throw it through the mud and blame me for something I did not do. They are not going to frame me plus this was not even a detective that question to me it was just a Beat cop. I looked at as card. Also I have had issues in the past with and ex-husband and domestic violence where my ex-husband attempted to kill me and I was dead for 93 minutes and thank God I am even a live to tell the tale about it. That incident right there changed my entire and my entire way of thinking. I've never done anything illegal besides a few speeding tickets. I go out and volunteer and do for my community and people just don't like to be called out on their shortcomings. But I'm sorry you're not going to leave your kid outside for 3 hours unattended that falls into a fire pit and have cars in your backyard with no garage just a regular backyard and we have dry leaves everywhere and I mean extremely dry leaves that if you threw a cigarette on the whole neighborhood would be burned. We've had a lot of new people move in move out Blues their houses but never once has anybody ever been so malicious besides my ex-husband who got out of prison last year and his girlfriend who dyed her hair the same color as mine. I don't know about this generation. They take no accountability for stealing other people's property and project their own insecurities on other people. I'm glad that he moved but really I had no idea until my dad said something to me a few weeks ago that there was a sign in his yard that said for sale and that he called the agent and the agent said he lost the house and never made not a one payment since my dad sold him the house. Going back to the mail situation I've caught several post office workers dumping mail and reported every one of them. All I can say is the devil is rampant on this Earth and I know that I did not do anything wrong and whoever did this I have no clue but I do hope they find them. I just know they better be prepared if they're going to come at me. I have God on my side as my witness and that's all I need. What are people doing with it I that is the point I don't get? What are they taking from the mailbox that is so important? Like I said I don't know anyting about what people do with the mail or what they think they can do with the mail I'm just curious?

I wish I could work thank you very much and I did up until the time I was 8 years old until 3 years ago. If it takes me 3 hours to fold two loads of laundry because my hands like up or because I fall asleep from narcolepsy which my doctors are trying to control how is that inability to be able to work or even drive safely? That doesn't even include having three Strokes with a 75% chance of having another one in three months at 8 herniated discs in my back that no doctor will touch and I have had three opinions on this medical issue. I'm lucky to be alive quite frankly but don't like to be called lazy which is basically what you are calling me. But when your neighbor is killing Federal wildlife aka the bald eagles, taking live animals and skinning them and throwing them on the road like trash, people lighting fires and their backyard a foot behind the gas tank of a car with a three-year-old unsupervised child who happens to hurt herself and be left alone constantly, not including the other neighbors who yell and scream at each other and have domestic violence issues, so now I don't have enough time on my hands I just enjoy sitting outside on my porch thank you very much. All it takes is 5 or 10 minutes for me to sit out here because I don't want to fall asleep in a house that's 80 degrees but I'm lucky to even live here. The fact is I don't like people who think I am lazy when in fact I do what a can and how much I can every day to get better. I get rides to get intensive physical therapy three times a week just to be able to move my left side. And if you're falling asleep and then not having muscle tone which is cataplexy along with that then that does not help the situation. I can't help where I live right now otherwise I would move. Our neighborhood used to be one of the quietest ones that I have ever seen. Unfortunately all of the older generation we're put into nursing homes or what not and all of these younger people are here and I can't help if they're doing illegal activities but I don't have to stand here and watch it and not report it either. And if you think it's okay for somebody to tell you that they took a bald eagle and plucked every feather out of its screaming body laughing the whole time they're talking to you then something is wrong with you. That was the one and only conversation I had with another this neighbor who isn't even a part of this issue. As soon as he told me that I got a told him he was a sicko and walked back to my house. This was 3 years ago before I had any strokes and yes I was working at that time as an RN thank you very much. So I guess you wouldn't report the guy? What he did was a severe federal crime. Because it was a family of bald eagles not just one but a mother a father and two babies. But unless I have evidence such as a feather or what not from them or pictures of their bodies I was told there was nothing I could do about it. And this is not my County but the federal government. And to leave a three year old child unsupervised for hours on end you are damn right as a mother myself I am going to call CPS because that is not safe. Anybody could come and snatch this kid. Anything could happen to the child as we have a lot of copperheads around here. Just because I want to do the right thing and Report incidents that I happen to see or be told about does not make me someone with Too Much Time on My Hands. It makes me a responsible person with morals. All I came to do one here was asked one simple question and I'm getting berated about having too much time on my hands. That makes no sense to me as someone who can barely walk now after last year and yet I am grateful for every day I get to live but I shouldn't have to live surrounded by people who have no regard for life itself. Then be singled out and targeted because they're angry. Don't worry when this is all blows over I'm going to have me some major lawsuits and I could tell you I have never seen anybody in my entire life but this is going to be the start because I'm tired have people thinking they can just do whatever they please like there were living in a real Purge movie. Our neighborhood only has one Street in and out what exit/ entrance as well. My parents have lived here since 1985 when it was first built and never had any issues out of any neighbors until the last 3 years. So if you see a crime being committed you're not going to report it? So I guess you're going to blame other people for something they didn't do because you're angry at them as well? That is what someone does who has too much time on their hands. Yes I should have just invoked my Fifth Amendment right which I will remember in the future but my Fourth Amendment right being broken is unacceptable as well. You don't live in the county I live in. This county is so corrupt you would think that Soros owned it. You are not understanding my frustration with what you said to me which was very wrong an inappropriate. If this is how these forms are I certainly would just stay where I am on my regular for him and not even be on here. Because it seems like people I'm not trying to be helpful except for a few.

My father is a disabled veteran, my grandfather served,and my great-grandfather served. As far back as I can go to the start of this country all of the men in my family have served this country with dignity, honor, and respect.

The way I spoke it and added two extra lines did not come out the way it was supposed to. I know what a paragraph is unfortunately I don't have the best phone. That is not something in my control at this point in my life.

Yet it does not give you the right to keep commenting ridiculous things. Yes and by the way I do have a lawyer. Some people Express themselves differently then others with words. All I was trying to do was give as much detail as possible to my situation so that I could get a more detailed answer or pertinent advice.

This is why asked for no more comments. Besides from everybody thinking my situation is funny when it is not. Nobody likes to be accused of something they did not do. But like my lawyer said you are innocent until proven guilty and the burden of proof falls on the state not me.

What you described is true, and it is also constitutionally protected.

We are very blessed to be citizens of such a wonderful nation.

Military service in my family can be traced to the French and Indian War, as well as the Revolutionary War.

I served our nation honorably for 31 years, as have my sons, and currently two grandchildren.

Thank you for the helpful advice and I have done so and have a lawyer to represent me just in case I need one.

They were very helpful when I called and explained the situation to them. I had them pull up all of the police complaints and calls that I made over the last three years against everybody that lives on my street. It is a stack of papers that cost quite a bit to get a copy of but well worth it.

I appreciate the fact that you gave me very good advise. I took it and found one of the best lawyers when it comes to this area of the law. Even though I have not been charged. I still felt it was necessary and and very grateful for your advice.

Apparently not well enough to use paragraph breaks (at least up until post #15 in the thread).

All I was trying to do was give as much detail as possible to my situation so that I could get a more detailed answer or pertinent advice.
