Hi, some of us found a spy cam in a co-workers cubicle. This person's bosses did not know about it. HR was notified. Is this against the law in IL? Again, the person did not notify his boss that this camera was up.

who is "some of us" and why were you in the coworkers cubicle?

In the end, you need to let HR do what they will do and stay out of it.

Do you know who put the camera there in the first place? And what exactly was being recorded? Just the employee in that cubicle? Was it video only or was audio also being recorded?

Maybe the co-worker put the cam in their own cubicle to see if their co-workers were coming into the cubicle when they weren't there?
