Hi
This is a regarding myself and my husband, we have been trying for a baby for a couple of years now to no success, my husbands sperm count is low and slow and we are getting desperate to have a baby of our own, my male best friend has offered to be a sperm donor to help us complete our family and finally give us peace in our hearts, he wants to be in the childs life but as an "Uncle" figure rather then a father figure but still have some kind of access and contact, we are fine with this as long as the family and friends around us know that my husband IS the father, A little white lie but it's none of their buisness:no: , My friend and donor also would love to be a father as he feels life is to short to keep waiting as his oppotunity to be dad was shattered when his ex wife cheated on him and left him so starting over is a drag for him and he'd love to be a dad as soon as we would love to be parents too...... Please can someone tell me what rights the donor does and does not have as much as what are our rights:confused: ? Thank you

In general this is not a good idea. You might want to see an attorney that handles fertility issues/adoption/family law but only an anonymous sperm donor through a bank is protected. I know of no way you can have him legaly sign away his rights but you really should talk to an attorney and see what they say.

Have you tried seeing a fertility DR about IUI/IVF and other options?
