My husband and I are getting a divorce and he wants me to sign over my parental rights so he can take our children to India where he and his family are from. I have agreed to this but I don't know the law and how to do this. Can you please advise me. Thank you.

The State of Alabama is not going to let you 'sign over your parental rights'.

Husband and you can stipulate that you have no legal or physical custody and no visitation. If he needs a US passport, sole legal will allow him to do it very easily.

You can't get legal advice here.

It would illegal for us to dispense legal advice.

Before you sign or agree to anything, you'd be very foolish NOT to speak with a lawyer in your county.

You can meet with most lawyers for FREE the first consultation.

Before you sign anything, make sure you understand it.

People will tell you many lies to get you to sign away everything.

Only a lawyer you've HIRED can protect your rights and interests.

Be careful of signing or agreeing to anything, unless you FULLY and completely understand and assent.
