significane of primary custodial parent status

my husband was just awarded this status with us sharing joint legal and physical custody. what does this mean exactly? what rights does he have that I do not? I live in California.

He has primary responsibility for the care of the child. He is the primary decision maker.

He really has no more/less rights than you. You have all the rights of any parent, just that by court order he has a little more thunder to make decisions.
