should i be the one on childsupport?

my name is not on birth cerificate her husband at the time signed childs birth certificate. she gave my name as being the father to this 11 year old child. Should i be the one on child support? I just got put on 2 years ago.

were you formally judicated as the father? if so did you formally agree that you were indeed the father? I am not a lawyer and you should in no way take what I say here as legal advice however if you are the birth father you are as far as I know responsible for support payments
