When suing a dissolved corporation in NY, who does one serve? There is a 1957 case that says service of process is allowed on the secretary of state. But it is citing old law. The case is Laurendi et. al v. Cascade Development co. Inc. et al, 5 Misc. 2nd 688 (1957). It cites to stock corporation law, which is not good law anymore.

If the corporation has been dissolved, you might have no one to sue.
If that's the case, then service is unimportant.
HINT: If you were attempting to serve a person and learned that she had died eight years ago. You'd have no one to serve.
See what you can discover about what happened to the company.
