My jurisdiction is: Georgia

My husband's ex-wife told him that he did not need to take him back to NY because she was coming to get him. She was here this past weekend and got upset with my husband when she realized he did not purchase him a return flight ticket, so she left him. She told my husband that their son would have to stay here with him but, once she got back to NY, she started harrassing my husband about getting him back to NY. If we don't have the money to buy a lst minute ticket (because they are expensive), what can we do because GA has been back in school for four weeks now and we don't want him to miss school?

What does the custody order state as to transportation and who is financially responsible?

Who is supposed to pay for transportation? If Dad is then he needs to buy a ticket, sometimes even buy a roundtrip and discarding the return cheaper. You can also possibly bid on priceline.com.

It is unclear by your post what the court order says.
