Are there any specific "rules" regarding supervised visitation? Last week I got temporary custody (court ordered) of my 2 grandaughters ( ages 3 & 8). Mother and father (my son) never married and have been together, off and on for 11 yrs. Mother has had bad drug problem for several years and is now trying to clean up, father has been in detention center for 2 weeks (Since arrested) The 3 yr old has been living with me since Jan. at the parents request, the 8 yr old has been with her father. He has been unemployed since Jan., arrested at childs school for drug possesion and being under the influence of drugs. The school called the police. They were evicted from their home and lived in motels. They even lived in a house under construction at one point. I called social services ( what a joke) and never heard from them again. Since that time I have heard dad was a big drug dealer and ripped off many people, mom got involved in an internet prostitution sting and was selling porno pictures of herself...YES this is all true and it gets worse. Dad was arrested last week for driving a stolen BMW. The 8 yr old was in the car at the time. Since then I have learned he took his girlfriend and chidren out shoplifting and also stealing credit cards. I took all this information to my lawyer and got an emergency custody hearing and was granted temp. custody. Girlfriend and her mother went to court WITH me on my behalf and asked the judge to give me custody. I received a phone call from my son tonight from the detention center. He was served the papers yesterday. His father ( my ex) is going to post bond for him .Needless to say he is really p.....ed off and making threats. By law I have to allow him to visit. He has supervised visitation by me. Does any one know what you can or cannot allow. I don't want him coming to my home with his low life friends but I don't know what I can do legally to stop him. Sorry for being so long ...HELP!!!!
