I am 17yrs old.

Do I have to give the father of my unborn daughter rights after she is born when he mainly told me that he gives his right up? My daughter doesnt need someone like him in her life. "good then dont put my name on her birth certificate then and also dont give her my last name then. you want to play that fuckin way." He has already told me that. To me that is telling me that is gives his rights up. Is he?

Today when I talked to him, he told me that he will pay me $50-$75 a week, $150/month. I talked to my mom and she said that's not enough for a newborn. What should I do? I dont want him in her life and I'm not planning on telling him when I go into labor with her or putting his name on the birth certificate.

You cannot have him give up rights, unless there is going to be a subsequent adoption.

Dad is only required to pay you what CS guidelines say for yuor state. You might want to google your states CS calculator.

If you go on any form of gov't assistance, you will have to establish paternity and CS will be filed. Regardless if you want Dad involved or not, ifhe takes you to court for paternity and visitation, you'll have to comply,.

He will not have rights unless he goes to court to establish them (paternity (dna), child support and visitation). If he does, you have to comply with the visits, if he decides to take them.

You don't have to put his name on the BC and he doesn't have to sign the paternity papers to put it there.

Ok. So I am taking it then that I can stop him from seeing her after she is born until he takes me to court even though I am going to get custody papers drawn up so that way he nor his father can just take her and leave....
