Mailed in a wage garnishment form to defendant's employer about a month and a half ago. It's a govt building and I did not make the form "attention" to anybody.

I called his employer yesterday and they transfered me to the office of the general counsel. They advised me that they never received the form and it could be floating around anywhere in the building since it wasnt mailed to the attention of anybody. She gave me the address and room number it should be sent to.

Can I go to the courthouse and mail another wage garnishment form or will the court make me track down the original form since it was sent registered mail? I can tell you now, his employer will not go all over that building trying to track down a month old letter....

advice?

Start from scratch and send a new form to the correct party. It'll be a tad quicker and less stressful.
