Required Uniforms

I work for a hospital in Florida that is not only going to start requiring employees to purchase specific color scrub uniforms, but they are also requiring that those uniforms be purchased from a specific manufacturer / brand. Can you please tell me if it is legal for them to require a specific brand / manufacturer?

Yes, it is. It might or might not make them liable for all or part of the cost (though there are other factors that will also affect that issue) but no law prohibits them from specifying from where the uniforms may be obtained.

Absolutely legal. As cbg mentioned, they should probably tell you as to whether or not they will cover the whole cost or part of it, but they are not breaking the law by making you do that.
