remitting the garnishment to the creditor

If payday is on Friday and the is a wage garnishment, how quickly does the payroll department that garnished the funds need to remit the funds?

Usually the time frame for remitting the payment is contained somewhere in the withholding order. Most of the ones I've dealt with have specified that it should be sent within 7 working days of the pay date, but I imagine it can vary from agency to agency.

It can depend on state law (employee's principal place of employment) generally 1 to 7 days after payday. As noted, it should be in the withholding order though.
