Relinquish duties as executor

Hello,

I've been appointed as the executor of a friend's estate. The daughter of the deceased has agreed to take over the duties of executor. What steps do I need to take to transfer this obligation? Is there a form that I can fill out and have notarized? Or will I need the assistance of an attorney?
