reading of a will

When my mother's will was read by her attorney my brother(executor) was given a large sum of money.However, in all the paperwork of her inventory of real and personal property and the final report I can't find any mention of this money. How can I find out what this sum was?

I have a complete copy of the will.(or so I assumed) This sum of money was a joint tenant with right of survivorship as my home was to me. Would that be in the file you're speaking of? Thank you
