Quit Claim Deed with Back Taxes Due

Tenant has the opportunity to do a Quit Claim Deed on a home in Florida, however there are back taxes owed by current owner. A certificate has recently been sold for the back taxes yet taxes still have not been paid. If tenant does a Quit Claim, do they then become responsible for the back taxes on the property?
