My husband has been served with comtempt by his ex-wife of over 20 years ago. She has physical custody of the two girls and at one time their son. He is now married and on his own. One daughter is in her forth year at college. The other is a senior in high. He regularly pays child support in the amount of nearly 900.00 a month. The college age daughter is living with her boyfriend and has not lived with her mother in about a year. There is no order for college tuition or other support during college. However we have given money to buy books and whatever she has needed as well as buying a car, paying insurance and so forth.
The mother is requestion additional childsupport. The papers that were served were not proper according to our lawyer. There was not a court date on the papers and other items were missing. My husband lawyer responded with requesting a court date for dismissal of the charges.
The ex-wifes lawyer has now re-served my husband. The court date is the same day and time of the day that he is to go for his lawyers requested dismissal of charges.
Which court does he need to attend? If he doesn't go to the court for her lawyer are there repurcussions?
