Procedures for Relative/Kinship Adoption

I would like to adopt my two younger sisters. I'm in the military and stationed in Illinois. My sisters are living with my older sister in Wisconsin who has three other children of her own to take care. My mother just remarried and is not living with them. My husband and I can provide financially for both of them. I know this adoption would not be contested by my mother, but would I still have to hire an attorney? Or can I use them to help me with just the paperwork?

A lawyer is highly recommended so there are no legal loopholes later on. Your mother may agree now, but in a year or two she may change her mind.
