I am working pro se in a family law case. I have alot of documentation that I need to file. My question is: When I file my exhibits with the court and the opposing attorney, do I need to attach a brief description of what the evidence represents? Or do I just mark the exhibit and wait til our trial to show the cause of the evidence that I filed? I do not want to give the opposing attorney to much detail yet.
Thanks

Without knowing your jurisdiction it is impossible to tell. Even with that, this is a question about the specifics of civil procedure there and posters here an unlikely to know the answer. I would suggest you check with your local court clerk.

FWIW, the whole point of disclosure is to allow the other side to know exactly what you have. Likewise they have to disclose to you. It promotes settlement and reasonable compromise. Judges frown on "trial by ambush".
