Well the law is going to vary, but with an age difference like that I would expect there to be consequences.

I read it that way as well at first thats why I asked. I use to live near Ontario CA (Chino) so it was my first thought

If Canada: The age of consent in Ontario is 16. No harm done.
If California: Every employee at the hospital where Mom delivers would be a mandated reporter.

Okay so just an update i spoke to a lawyer and he said a 12 or 13year old can only consent to vaginal sex to someone up to 2 years older. A 14 or 15 year old can consent to sex with someone 5 years or younger. But a 16 or 17 year old can consent to vaginal sex with any age. Just no anal sex or pornography until 18years of age, once 18 free to do anything

Ugh, that's just TOO MUCH INFORMATION for me.
I think you need a second opinion. Seek a couple more opinions, or contact a detective in the sex crimes or crimes against children section.
