Hello,

In Wisconsin, do police officers have to be certified to operate a traffic radar gun???

Wisconsin offers radar certification, but whether it is legally required to operate the radar is doubtful. I suspect that it is required only if the state wants to get the speed admitted into court.

I find no mention of the radar requirements in Chapter 346 other than to discuss judicial notice.
