My husband recently got a dui, with two counts of bodily injury. I know this is a felony charge. But I've never been around anything like this before and I'm terrified. Our auto insurance is refusing to pay and with lawyer fees and fines I'm afraid we don't have the resources to get through this. What is my personal liability? Can my possessions be taken because we're married? I was at home in bed - am I still responsible for his mistake? How can I protect myself and our kids from paying for his bad choices?
