How do I go about petitioning the court for retro child support? Apparently there was a court hearing on 2/5/10 and I was never notified there was going to be one let alone that I needed to attend or I would have been there. After all I am the one that got the ball rolling. I appeared for the paternity and I received those results. I find it odd that I never received paperwork to appear in court.
I called Dept of Rev and they said I was sent a letter which I never received. They also said I was sent the "court order" or the results and I never received those either.
They told me to call The Clerk of Courts. I called them and they said I had to petition the court. Not much help.
Online it says case closed and the retro is "reserved". My son was born 14 months ago and I could really use the retro child support. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
