We have employees in CA who are often placed on adminstrative leave during pending investigations where they are accused of misconduct, causing an accident, misuse of company equipment, etc.... Is our company required to pay the employees during administrative leave? Thanks
The exception would be if the employee is salaried exempt AND the leave is for less than a full workweek AND the misconduct is not related to workplace conduct OR a major safety violation. (This exception applies in all states.)
