I hired a contractor to do a job because a friend recommended him. he was going to remodel my bathroom. he has been there for a month and still not finished. i already paid him half. he keeps giving me dates he will be done and still hasnt finished. the contract i signed doesnt have a completion date. he is doing a horrible job and taking so long. can i break the contract and let him go.

You can discuss your concerns with him and try to reach an amicable separation before he messes everything up. Stop the damage and time waste now. If he keeps staying there the more money he would expect as the hours increase. You have a better chance of getting him to accept lesser cash now than later given the poorly written contract.
