Not getting paid for working under the table

Hello,

I worked for someone at a store for about a year. It changed management and for the last month or so I wasn't paid for my work. Throughout the time I worked there, I worked under the table. The man owes me about $1000. Is there anything I can do to get my money? Thanks for the help

You can attempt to sue the person using the small claim court process.

If he says you never worked there what proof do you have that you did?

While you could sue him over unpaid wages, you had also better be prepared to declare all that income and pay taxes on it.

I have texts with him agreeing that he owes me money, and also other workers who have not been paid.

Which is why working under the table is not recommended.
