No Commission schedule

I work as a sales manager for a company based in St. Louis, MO. Approximately 75% of my compensation is salary, 25% is commission based on gross sales. For the past 18 months my employer has not provided me, or the other outside managers, with a commission payout schedule. In other words, we have no idea how our commission payments are calculated.

Commissions have been paid regularly but it is unknown until the check stub comes as to to what was actually paid.

Is this legal? Is the company required to provide the pay structure when a portion of the compensation is based on commission?

Thanks in advance for the help.

In what state is this? (Not where the company is based; where you are.)
