I have a ten year old son. My ex has agreed to sign his rights over to my new husband. Where do I start to have my husband adopt my son and waive the child support of my ex?

If they aren't there, check the family courts of larger counties.

Once he learns that he'll still owe all that back child support, and his child support obligation going forward might NOT be eliminated; things could change.

At the office of an attorney familiar with the adoption process in your county. Stepparent adoption -- while considerably simplified when the birth parent is willing to consent to the adoption -- is not a good DIY project.
