How can I get my name removed from the National Retail Theft Database? For a shoplifting misdemeanor charge that occurred 4/2019? So that it would not show up in a federal job security search? Is that possible?

There is a poster who is employed as a manager or director of security for a retail organization.

From what I understand, hiding criminal history from the feds isn't possible, they KNOW everything about every one of us!!!!

Let's see if @shrinkmaster is available to offer you specific guidance.

Calling @shrinkmaster a poster requires your specific skill sets and knowledge.

The NRTD is the least of your issues. First off, your conviction is not stored there. If you were caught shoplifting in a store that subscribes to it you're in there and will be for seven years.

Security clearances don't use the NRTD. If you were convicted ANYWHERE, they will find that from existing government records (even if it was sealed/expunged). It's trivially pulled up now for them.
