My husband wants to adopt my son...

I have not seen my son's father since I was about 7 months pregnant. He has not acknowledged me or my son since then. I had a paternity test done by the state to prove he was the father, but still nothing has happened. So, luckily, he is not around and I have since married. My husband and I have been married since May 2006 and we have been together since April 2005.

My husband wants to adopt my son, but we are unsure of the best way to go about it. Please provide some sort of help for us. I just want to make this as easy as possible for my son who is only 4.

You are going to have to see an attorney, bio dad is going to have to terminate his rights.

As an incentive you could mention that if he suddenly wants to be a dad he will have to pay child support if he doesn't already and if he does you could mention that he will no longer have to pay child support if your husband adopts.
