i have a 13yrs old daughter. but she is not in my custody. her mother and me were friends at the time of the conception and birth. But i didn't sign on the birth certificate. so she gave her her last name and my last name combination. that became my daughter's legal last name. but i want to change that to my last name but the mother is upset and not cooperating. she want to have full control over our child. i have been paying child support since my daughter was born. but she doesn't want me to be the father i want too. now i am married and have a stable job. but her mother lost her job recently and she became depressed and became alcholic. i want my child's name to be changed and to get my visitation rights.when i want to spend some time with my daghter over the weekend, she gives me reasons like i am going to take her to a birthday party or to some place solely for the purpose for me not to spend some time with my child.she doesn't take care of my daughter as she is suppose to. she is neglacting her. i have already taken the DNA test to prove she is my child. and the mother is threthnenig me that she will move to another state. i want to have a say so in my child's life what can i do?

Name has nothing to do with visitation rights. Is there a custody/visitation order in place? If not time to get one ASAP. You can go down to the family court and soeak to a family law fascilitator or see an attorney. If mom threatens to move you can cetainly dispute the move in court.
