My Doctor overbilled me - What kind of Lawyer do I need?

My doctor's office neglected to communicate with BCBS's request for additional information regarding the procedures performed on my ankle.

I reminded them for many weeks but now the claim is closed and I was charged $20,000 when I was promised my out-of-pocket maxim would only be $2,500. The insurance company only covered $1,500 of the doctor's billing and they were open to negotiation of their coverage pending the doctor's office cooperation.

So far I have reached out to 3 Lawyers to set up a consultation for this but I keep finding the wrong type of lawyer to handle this case.

I suggest you read your policy, or conditions of coverage.

You'll probably discover you can't sue the insurer over any dispute.

You're probably required to go to "binding" arbitration.

Once you discover what you can do regarding a dispute, you'll know how best to proceed.
