Multiple FTA and constantly released on RA

Hello, Just a quick question for the experts here. I just can't seem to wrap my head around this.

Someone I know was arrested for,
Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle 164.135 Felony Class C

They were let out on Recognizance Release.
They did not show up for court date and the judge issued an FTA - Warrant and revoke RA.

This person has been arrested and release 4 times since the first FTA. They have missed all 4 court dates with an FTA - Warrant and revoke RA issued by the judge.

The jail records only report it as an Agency Hold (cleared). No other arrest information.

Is this normal?

I do apologize. I was having a difficult time finding my threads in the My Account section. I suppose this should have been more apparent on that page when I helped build this site with Mr. Wechsler, we should have added that feature. I did end up finding my posts in a search.

These days in some states of which Oregon is one, YES, the outcomes you describe are routinely dispensed.

I agree it sounds normal to me for a non violent offense. It simply isn't a priority. The bail amount likely goes up each time, or will, and will eventually reach a point where he is no longer released.
