money for kids in college

Hi there,
I was divorced in 1989. One of my kids graduated college and the other is still attending. My ex cut them off financially when they were 18, which I know is legal, but I wondered this. Is it possible to take him to small claims court and sue him for half the money I spent on college and will spend on our childrens college education? Maybe they would use a different critera than the typical divorce critera? Do I have a chance at all? Thoughts and opinions are much appreciated...

No you cannot sue and win under those circumstances.

No. He is not required to contribute to college unless it was specifically stated in the decree. His financial obligations to the kids ended at 18.
