Mandated vacation

    A small business shuts down one week a year and asks employees to use their vacation days for this time period. But, they also require the employee does NOT take more than one Friday AND Monday per quarter. In other words, for each quarter, the employee can not take a "long" weekend more than once and definitely cannot take a Fri-Mon weekend EVER. Is this restriction ok?

    Vacation is not mandated by law. A company is permitted to determine the conditions it grants freely paid days off.

    The restriction is 100% legal.
