Or, the parents of the victims.

Probably sexual abuse allegations, more specifically involving children as the objects of said abuse.

What authorities?

Hmm, police, sheriff, law enforcement.

Why do you believe this is happening?

Further speculation here, but when you see smoke it means fire has been there, or will soon arrive.

Unless you are actually contacted by law enforcement don't let this bother you.
You apparently do not know what was reported, if anything was at all. If police do not act on the information then there is no response for you to take.
Even if something false is reported it isn't necessarily slanderous.
For now, ignore whoever it is and go on with your life.
